“SUMA TU ESCUELA” OF THE SCHOOL OF ROBOTICS AND GIRLS RISING ESTABLISH A COLLABORATION AGREEMENT TO IMPROVE THE RIGHTS OF GIRLS AND BOYS

Suma tu Escuela, from the School of Robotics, and Girls Rising, signed a collaboration agreement that aims to carry out the “Explore more” program for teachers and students from Misiones.

Girl Rising (GR) is a US-based non-profit organization that works to change the way societies value and invest in girls around the world. GR uses the power of media and partnerships to inspire girls to create a different future for themselves and to attract the people around them – parents, siblings, teachers and leaders – to contribute from their place in the fight to break the barriers that hold back their development.

The main objective of the program is to address the gender stereotypes that influence childhood, the disparities and the norms that make educational possibilities different. Through activities and discussions, each participant in the program will be empowered to use her own voice and spread positive change in her communities. As a result, these girls / adolescents will complete the program with a greater awareness of their rights, possibilities and opportunities.

The training will be carried out virtually and in person. The main content will be a toolbox that is based on storytelling, use of creative and multimedia tools and examples of role models, both from Argentina and around the world, to raise awareness about gender equality and gender equality. importance of girls’ education and inviting both boys and girls to Explore More and aspire to a future full of possibilities. It will work on 3 general themes: Self-knowledge and strengths. Life projects and personal dreams and Rights of boys, girls and gender. It should be noted that the facilitators of Suma tu Escuela de la RE, will be in charge of accompanying the teachers in the different activities proposed.

In this first instance, the areas involved in the project will be: ALEM – BELGRANO – GARUPA – IGUAZU – OBERA – POSADAS – SAN PEDRO. With a total of 17 participating schools.
